About the role:We're looking for an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join our growing Restructuring & Recovery team in Melbourne. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of corporate and personal insolvency engagements while leading, mentoring and developing talented professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.
As a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, you'll play a key role in managing complex engagements, driving outcomes, and contributing to the continued success and growth of the division.
Key responsibilities include:Managing and coordinating corporate and personal insolvency engagements from commencement through to completionProviding specialist restructuring and insolvency advice to clients and colleagues across the firmPlanning and allocating work across engagement teams, ensuring effective utilisation of resourcesOverseeing statutory compliance requirements and critical deadlinesApplying a strong understanding of insolvency legislation, case law and regulatory obligationsManaging asset realisations and stakeholder communicationsConducting interviews with directors, bankrupts and other relevant stakeholdersLiaising with financiers, legal advisors, agents and auctioneersPreparing and reviewing formal reports, correspondence and stakeholder communicationsReviewing detailed financial analysis, investigations and reporting outputsManaging, coaching and developing junior team membersSharing technical expertise and industry insights across the teamIdentifying and resolving complex technical and commercial issuesContributing to business development initiatives and relationship management activities
About you:You're an experienced restructuring and insolvency professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering practical outcomes for clients. With a strong technical foundation and a commercial mindset, you're comfortable managing a diverse portfolio of engagements while building trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders and colleagues.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
EssentialA Business, Commerce or Accounting degreeCA qualification (or equivalent), or a Law degree with a demonstrated interest in insolvencyCompletion of the ARITA Insolvency Education ProgramMinimum 5 years' experience within Professional Services, ideally in restructuring and insolvencyPrevious experience leading, mentoring and developing team membersStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and commercial acumenAbility to work both autonomously and collaborativelyProven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
DesirableBusiness development and client relationship management experienceEstablished professional networks within the Melbourne market
