What you will do

This ‘hands on’ position works across several roles on the Transfer Station, including identifying items that can be sold or recycled and salvaging them, working in the on-site recycling shop, assisting customers to safely dispose of goods and material they have bought to site and to understand the rules around that disposal of e-waste.

As part of our team, you will offer customers a unique experience at our reuse market, process sales, manage inventory for resale, and help break down unsaleable items to maximise material recovery.

This role is not just about sales; it’s about making a tangible difference in our community and environment by promoting reuse and recycling. You will have the chance to grow with Outlook, learning various roles within a motivated, helpful, and exceptionally friendly team.

About you

While experience in customer service or purchasing is beneficial, we are look for someone with enthusiasm, proactive attitude, strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities. Do you have a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively both on your own and as part of a team. Retail experience is nice but not essential. If you are eager to learn and have a positive outlook, we are excited to train you and help you grow in your career.

Additional requirements

To keep everyone safe, successful candidates will complete:

• A National Police Check
• A pre-employment medical assessment
• Drug and alcohol testing (including random testing on the job).
