Youth Officer - Part Time

Salary Package:  $77,164 per annum plus super (pro rata)

The City of Karratha is looking for an enthusiastic Youth Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (38 hours per fortnight) and help shape the future of youth programs in our community!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Deliver engaging programs that encourage positive socialization and safe recreation for young people aged 11–18.
• Be a role model and provide guidance and support to young people.
• Activate our youth facilities by running programs and ensuring they are safe, welcoming, and well maintained.
• Engage with stakeholders including community groups, contractors, and service providers to enhance youth opportunities.
• Support young people by ensuring their safety and making appropriate referrals when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in youth work, social work, or community services (or currently studying in these areas).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build connections with young people.
• Ability to manage programs, solve problems, and handle challenges with confidence.
• A Working with Children Check, First Aid
• Certificate, and C Class Driver’s License (or willingness to obtain).
