About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a construction project, ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
This is a site-based, project-focused role with potential for ongoing work across future projects.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to the Site Manager and project team while managing project resources, programme, commercial performance, quality, safety and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects
Manage and support Site Managers, subcontractors, and project teams
Monitor project progress, programme, budgets, forecasts and cash flow
Manage project risks, variations, extensions of time, delays and contractual claims
Coordinate resources, materials, procurement and project requirements
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, safety plans, environmental requirements and company policies
Promote a strong safety culture
Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and quality standards
Maintain project records, QA documentation, defects, NCRs and handover requirements
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders
Monitor progress, productivity, quality and site construction activities
Requirements:
Essential:
Proven experience in construction project management, site management or supervision
Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and processes
Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and site safety systems
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong leadership, communication, commercial and organisational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and project requirements under pressure
White Card (or equivalent safety certification)
Desirable:
Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
Experience delivering commercial and/or agricultural construction projects
Contract administration experience
Experience using construction or project management software
Additional Information
The successful candidate will be required to attend the Bendigo office for a period, prior to project commencement of the project.
