As we expand our transformation and AI capability, we are looking for a Director – Digital Transformation & AI Enablement to help shape and lead this practice.

The Role

This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who can operate comfortably at the intersection of business strategy, technology transformation and AI.

You will work with senior executives to identify where digital technologies and AI can create measurable business value, shape transformation roadmaps and help move initiatives from strategy through to execution.

Importantly, this is not a purely technical AI role.

We are looking for someone who understands how organisations actually transform across people, process, technology, data, governance and operating models and can determine where AI, automation and emerging technologies can materially improve the outcome.

The role will also contribute to the commercial growth of EdgeQuay by identifying opportunities, shaping propositions, developing strategic partnerships and helping build long-term client relationships.

What You Will Do

• Advise executives on digital transformation, AI adoption and technology-enabled business change.
• Identify high-value AI and automation opportunities across customer, operational and enterprise functions.
• Develop digital and AI strategies, transformation roadmaps, business cases and implementation approaches.
• Help clients move from AI experimentation and proof-of-concept activity toward scalable enterprise adoption.
• Assess organisational AI readiness across data, technology, governance, processes, workforce and operating models.
• Shape AI-enabled operating models and identify opportunities to redesign processes rather than simply automate existing ones.
• Work with technology, platform and delivery partners to develop practical client solutions.
• Lead discovery workshops, executive conversations and transformation assessments.
• Shape client proposals, solution narratives, commercial models and transformation engagements.
• Support business development and develop trusted relationships with senior decision-makers.
• Build reusable EdgeQuay methodologies, propositions and intellectual property around digital transformation and AI enablement.
• Contribute to the growth and development of EdgeQuay's broader transformation capability.

What We Are Looking For

You are likely to have 15+ years of experience across consulting, enterprise transformation, technology strategy, digital transformation or related disciplines, with meaningful experience leading complex client or organisational initiatives.

You should bring:

• Strong experience in enterprise digital transformation and technology-enabled change.
• Practical understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, intelligent automation and enterprise AI adoption.
• Ability to translate emerging technology into business outcomes rather than technology narratives.
• Experience developing transformation strategies, roadmaps, business cases and operating models.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud, data and integration environments sufficient to engage credibly with technology leaders.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, responsible AI, security, privacy and enterprise risk considerations.
• Experience engaging senior executives including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, COOs and business leaders.
• Strong consulting, facilitation, problem-solving and executive communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify, shape and progress client opportunities.
• Experience working across complex enterprise or government environments.

Experience within consulting, professional services, technology vendors, systems integrators or major enterprise transformation environments would be particularly relevant.

Within your first year, you will have helped establish EdgeQuay as a credible transformation and AI advisory partner by:

• building trusted relationships with senior clients;
• creating a strong pipeline of transformation and AI opportunities;
• converting opportunities into meaningful client engagements;
• developing repeatable transformation and AI propositions;
• establishing relationships with relevant technology and delivery partners; and
• delivering measurable outcomes for clients.

The Opportunity

EdgeQuay is building rather than inheriting.

This role provides the opportunity to help shape our Digital Transformation & AI Enablement practice from the ground up its propositions, clients, partnerships, methodologies and market position.

You will have significant autonomy and direct involvement in determining how the capability develops as EdgeQuay grows.

We are looking for someone who combines the judgement of a transformation leader, the curiosity of a technologist and the commercial instincts of a consultant.
