About the Role

As our Assistant Store Manager, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to support day-to-day operations of the business. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that combines leadership, customer service, merchandising and buying.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day operations of the store
• Leading, motivating and supporting a close-knit team
• Delivering exceptional customer service
• Selecting, buying and pricing quality second-hand baby and children's items
• Creating attractive product displays and merchandising the store
• Maintaining high presentation standards throughout the store
• Helping customers find the products that best suit their family's needs
• Opening and closing the store when required
• Assisting with stock management and store organisation

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has at least 1 year of retail supervisory or leadership experience
• Is reliable, organised and punctual
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Leads by example with a positive attitude
• Takes initiative and enjoys solving problems
• Can confidently lead and motivate a team
• Is able to adapt to busy retail periods

Desirable but not essential:

• Visual merchandising experience
• Buying or retail merchandising experience
• Experience working with children's or baby products
• Looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing local business

Hours

This role is available as either:

• Part-Time: 32.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm), or
• Full-Time: 38 hours per week, including Saturday trading.
