About the internshipWe're looking for a Marketing, Communications, Media or Advertising student who has almost completed their degree, or a recent graduate, to join us as a Social Media & Community Marketing Intern for 4 months.The role has a strong focus on Facebook and Instagram, from creating content and growing our online communities to finding new ways of turning engagement into meaningful customer connections.This isn't just about scheduling posts. We want someone who enjoys being creative, understands how people behave on social media and is excited to test new ideas.You'll also contribute to our LinkedIn presence and explore how AI can help us research, create and optimise social content more effectively.
What you'll be working onPlanning, creating and scheduling content across Facebook and InstagramCreating engaging visual content using Canva or similar design toolsManaging and growing BetterCareMarket's Facebook communities and support groupsEngaging with comments, messages and community members in a friendly, professional and empathetic wayExecuting lead-generation activities through social media, turning relevant engagement and campaigns into potential customer enquiriesDeveloping educational, product-focused and community contentTurning customer questions, conversations and trends into useful content ideasContributing content to BetterCareMarket's LinkedIn presenceBrainstorming and executing creative social campaigns and initiativesPlanning content around relevant awareness days and eventsUsing AI tools to support content ideation, research, creative development and optimisationKeeping an eye on social trends, competitors and new content opportunitiesAnalysing reach, engagement, community growth, leads and other social performance metricsWorking with the wider marketing team so our social, email, content and eCommerce activities work togetherBecause we work in healthcare, you'll also learn how to communicate about sensitive topics with empathy and care, while understanding the boundaries around providing medical advice.
What we're looking forWe're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys social media and understands that good social marketing is about more than follower numbers.Ideally, you'll:Have strong writing and communication skills in excellent EnglishBe creative and have a good eye for visual content and designUnderstand Facebook and Instagram beyond simply using them personallyEnjoy creating content and experimenting with different formats and ideasHave an interest in community building and lead generation through social mediaBe comfortable communicating with customers and online communitiesHave an interest in using AI creatively and responsibly within social media marketingBe organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of your workBe curious about why some content works and other content doesn'tExperience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, social scheduling tools or analytics is a bonus.
