Learning Leader ELC - 6
1 x full time ongoing teaching position, PAR tenured for 3 years
Commencing January 2027

Our St John's Campus in Highgate is seeking a motivated and committed Learning Leader to join the team. In this role, you will provide pedagogical and instructional leadership spanning ELC through to Year 6, helping to strengthen curriculum design, teaching practice, and student outcomes across the College. 

You will drive the implementation and ongoing development of the College's IB PYP, along with its literacy and numeracy programmes, while leading and coordinating learning-focused initiatives aligned with the College's Strategic Plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion pedagogical excellence across ELC to Year 6, lifting standards in curriculum, teaching, and student achievement

• Guide the rollout and continuous refinement of the IB PYP, literacy, and numeracy programmes

• Take ownership of learning-focused priorities within the College's Strategic Plan, tracking progress and driving results

• Partner with the ELC Director, Phase Leaders, and Inclusive Learning Coordinator on curriculum planning and development

• Build teacher capability through targeted professional learning that supports a culture of ongoing improvement.

• Experienced educator with strong curriculum and instructional leadership skills, ideally within IB PYP.

• Confident, collaborative leader who builds teacher capability and drives improved outcomes.

• Skilled at turning strategic priorities into practical, classroom-level impact.

• Strong communicator, able to build relationships across the school community.

• Committed to best practice in literacy, numeracy, and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Requirements

• Hold a South Australian Teachers Registration

• Hold a Working with Children Check.

• Hold a Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certification.
