Wintel Engineer

NV2 Security Clearance required
We are seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer to design, build, secure and support Microsoft Windows server environments supporting mission-critical Defence and national security services. This hands-on Level 3 role will focus on engineering, automation, platform lifecycle management and technical assurance within a highly controlled NV2 environment.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, configure and maintain Windows Server platforms and supporting infrastructure.Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificate services and identity integrations.Automate repeatable administration, build and compliance tasks using PowerShell and configuration tooling.Monitor platform health, investigate complex incidents and deliver durable root-cause remediation.Apply security hardening, vulnerability remediation, patching and change controls in line with Defence requirements.Maintain system designs, build records, operating procedures, risk artefacts and knowledge documentation.Minimum Required ExperienceFive or more years in enterprise Windows infrastructure or systems engineering.Demonstrated Level 3 support experience across highly available Windows Server environments.Experience delivering infrastructure changes through formal change, release and configuration management.Experience operating in secure government, Defence or other regulated environments.Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder communication capability.Required Skills/Technologies/ToolsWindows Server engineering and administrationActive Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCPPowerShell automation and scriptingSecurity hardening, patching and vulnerability remediationMonitoring, incident resolution and technical documentationNice To HaveMicrosoft Azure or hybrid identity experienceVMware vSphere, Nutanix or enterprise storage exposureMicrosoft or ITIL certification
