General Hand - Operations (Parks)

Join Our Parks & Gardens Team

The Town of East Fremantle is seeking a proactive and reliable General Hand to join our friendly Technical Services Operations team within Parks & Gardens. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive, hands-on team that takes pride in maintaining the Town's parks, gardens, reserves and public spaces for the benefit of our community.

In this role, you will support parks and gardens maintenance across the Town, including mowing, pruning, irrigation repairs, weed control, landscaping and general upkeep of public open spaces. You will work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety, customer service and maintaining plant, equipment and work records.

To be successful, you will need:

• Experience in grounds maintenance, parks and gardens, landscaping or a similar environment.
• Practical experience using hand tools, small plant and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Sound knowledge of safe work practices.
• Current WA MR Class Driver's Licence.
• Basic First Aid Certificate.
• White Card / Blue Card.
