About the role
We seek an experienced and committed person who is passionate about food, events and working with great food & beverage producers to join our Perth Royal Food Awards team. The successful person will work with fellow team members to co-ordinate our exclusive food and beverage competitions for the annual Perth Royal Food Awards.
Key responsibilities
Working in a small team collaboratively to manage and promote these competitions to Producers and others in the Food and Beverage sector, this role also includes:
Co-ordinating and managing Food and Beverage competitions across Wine, Distillery, Bread and Pastry, Meat and Small Goods and Dairy produce.
Promoting the competitions with entrants
Providing all detail and documentation for entrants and collating entry detail for judging
Producing all Competition Catalogues and Schedules
Overseeing the individual competition days including set up and pack down
Contributing to the individual Awards event functions to ensure their success
Managing the integrity of the PRFA Awards and medal process for winning producers
About you
Sound administration experience including database maintenance
Attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
Supportive supervisory skills in overseeing casual staff and our dedicated volunteers
Team orientation
Outstanding planning and organising skills of self and others
Proven Office 365 skills
Ability to work on multiple projects at any one time
While experience and knowledge of the food and beverage sector (and event coordination) would be well regarded, your passion for Western Australian produce and interest in working with producers and judges to showcase produce will be a distinct advantage.
About us
The Perth Royal Food Awards (PRFA) is a unique food and beverage competition that includes hundreds of Australian food and beverage producers, some of Australia's finest food and beverage judges and chefs, and a brand mark that is becoming known in the community for its trust and value. The Royal Agricultural Society of WA who manages the PRFA is looking to promote and develop the PRFA as the premiere food and beverage awards in Australia.
