About the Role

As an Experienced Pen Rider / Stockperson, you will play a key role in maintaining the health, welfare, and safe movement of cattle throughout the feedlot. Working as part of our livestock team, you will identify and treat animal health issues, undertake cattle movements, and uphold our high standards of animal welfare and low-stress stock handling.

Key responsibilities include:

• Pen riding, applicants with horses are welcome, with brand new stables, facilities and paddocks available (space for up to three horses).

• Monitoring cattle health, identifying issues, and administering and recording treatments.

• Inducting, drafting, trucking and completing general cattle movements.

• Maintaining water troughs, livestock facilities, and supporting high animal welfare standards.

• Contributing to a safe, efficient and productive team environment

About You

You are an experienced stockperson who takes pride in achieving high standards of livestock care. You are reliable, detail-oriented, committed to safe work practices, and enjoy working as part of a supportive team.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience handling cattle in a livestock operation.

• Previous feedlot experience will be highly regarded.

• Sound knowledge of cattle health, disease identification and treatment protocols.

• Experience with low-stress stock handling and a strong commitment to animal welfare.

• Experience with FY3000 feedlot management software will be highly regarded.

• A current driver's licence
