About the role
DGH is seeking a Site Maintenance Plumber to join our team. This is a casual position working 4 days a week based at Hay Point. As a Site Maintenance Plumber, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing critical plumbing systems across our industrial operations. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our mining and resources infrastructure, ensuring all plumbing installations and maintenance are completed to the highest standards.
What you'll be doing
Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems, pipework and associated fixtures across the site
Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing infrastructure to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate
Diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing faults and leaks, implementing effective solutions promptly
Responding to emergency plumbing calls and breakdowns to minimise operational downtime
Collaborating with other maintenance trades and site teams to coordinate works and ensure safety compliance
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and spare parts usage
Adhering to all site safety protocols, environmental regulations and company policies
Utilising hand tools, power tools and specialised plumbing equipment safely and effectively
What we're looking for
Current plumbing qualification and relevant trade certification or licence as required in Queensland
Proven experience working in industrial or mining environments, with knowledge of large-scale plumbing systems
Strong practical knowledge of pipework installation, repair and maintenance techniques
Competency in reading technical drawings and plumbing schematics
Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements in industrial settings
Ability to work independently and as part of a larger maintenance team
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to shift work and casual availability
Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to the Hay Point site in Mackay
