Experienced Digital Print & Finishing Operator

About the role

New Creation Print is looking for an experienced Digital Print & Finishing Operator to join our production team. You will take ownership of the digital production area — from running jobs on Ricoh production equipment through to finishing, managing priorities, maintaining stock levels and ensuring work moves efficiently through production. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced operator who is organised, reliable and comfortable working independently without needing constant direction.

Key responsibilities

• Operating Ricoh production digital printing equipment

• Setting up and producing digital print jobs accurately and efficiently

• Monitoring print quality, colour and registration throughout production

• Performing routine calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting

• Operating Horizon finishing equipment

• Taking digital jobs through printing and finishing wherever practical

• Reading and interpreting job bags and production specifications

• Using internal MIS and production systems to manage and update jobs

• Prioritising your own workload to meet production deadlines

• Monitoring digital paper and stock requirements and maintaining appropriate stock levels

About you

• Previous experience as a Digital Print Operator in a commercial printing environment

• Experience operating Ricoh production digital presses

• Experience with Horizon finishing equipment

• A good understanding of commercial print production and finishing

• Knowledge of paper stocks and digital print requirements

• Good computer skills and the ability to confidently use internal production systems

• Strong attention to detail

• Good mechanical and troubleshooting ability

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• The ability to prioritise multiple jobs in a busy production environment
