SSH Group are looking for someone who can confidently operate in a senior advisory capacity while remaining practical, approachable and solutions focused. Working closely with management, and operational teams, you will provide HSEQ leadership and support across our operations.
Key Responsibilities - Provide practical HSEQ advice and support to managers and site teams.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Lead incident, near-miss and hazard investigations and close-out actions.
- Develop and review SWMS, SWPs, JHAs and site safety plans.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, client and company requirements.
- Deliver safety training and coaching.
- Review contractor compliance, permits and high-risk work documentation.
- Coordinate injury, early intervention and claims management.
- Analyse HSEQ performance and prepare management and client reports.
- Drive continuous improvement across safety, environment and quality.
About You To be successful, you will ideally bring:
- Minimum 3 years' senior HSE/HSEQ advisory experience
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Current First Aid
- Current Construction White Card
- Current W.A. Driver's Licence
- Strong knowledge of State and National WHS legislation
- Experience conducting and facilitating internal and external audits
- Experience within mining, construction or heavy industry
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience with myosh, TOKN, JobAdder or psychosocial risk management tools will also be highly regarded.
