What you'll be doing

• Support people with complex behaviours to build independence, confidence and everyday skills
• Be there for personal care, household tasks, appointments and daily routines
• Follow positive behaviour support plans with care and consistency
• Notice potential triggers early and respond to escalating situations calmly and professionally
• Build safe, trusting relationships that promote dignity and choice, backed by clear documentation

You're the right person if...

• You've supported people with complex behaviours, psychosocial disability or higher support needs
• You stay calm, patient and resilient when things get difficult
• You're confident following positive behaviour support plans and established strategies
• You communicate well and keep clear records, including incident reports
• You're reliable, and open to feedback as you keep developing your skills

Kanda backs new support workers with paid induction and real shadow shifts, giving you the grounding to support complex needs safely and confidently. Pay runs from $35–46 per hour plus super and penalties, with flexible casual and part-time options.
