The Role

Pressure Dynamics is seeking a commercially driven Commercial & Strategy Manager to shape and execute our growth strategy. Reporting to the General Manager – Finance, People & Strategy, you'll take ownership of four critical functions – Commercial, Business Development, Marketing and Strategy – leading the end-to-end commercial lifecycle and our marketing team to convert opportunities into successful business outcomes.

This is a rare, hands-on senior leadership opportunity to work alongside the executive team, build and mentor a high-performing team, and make the commercial and marketing decisions that strengthen our market position across the resources, energy, defence and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial, Tendering & Contracts

• Lead the end-to-end tender and contract management process, from opportunity identification through to contract award and handover.
• Drive commercial growth by developing and managing the business development pipeline, tracking opportunities and commercial KPIs.
• Develop and execute commercial strategies that support business growth across markets, regions and service lines.
• Monitor commercial performance, providing reporting and insights on tenders, margins, pricing, contract performance and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with operational, finance and leadership teams to align commercial opportunities with business capability and profitability.
• Champion continuous improvement by embedding consistent tendering processes, maintaining CRM data integrity and supporting a strong safety and quality culture.

Business Development & Client Relationships

• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships while supporting business development activities across the organisation.
• Prepare high-quality proposals, presentations, capability statements and commercial documentation to secure new business.
• Identify and pursue new market opportunities in line with the company's growth strategy.
• Marketing Leadership
• Lead, mentor and develop the Marketing team, setting clear objectives, priorities and performance expectations.
• Own the marketing strategy and annual plan, ensuring alignment with commercial and business development priorities.
• Oversee brand positioning and drive marketing campaigns, digital content and PR activity to support lead generation and brand awareness.
• Manage the marketing budget, agency relationships and campaign ROI reporting.
• Oversee tender collateral, capability statements and client-facing materials in partnership with the commercial team, and coordinate industry events and sponsorships.

Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute strategic initiatives that strengthen the company's market position and long-term growth.
• Work closely with the executive team to shape and deliver the organisation's growth strategy.
• Build and lead a high-performing team across commercial, business development and marketing functions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or a related discipline (MBA highly regarded).
• Extensive experience in commercial, business development, marketing or strategy leadership within engineering, industrial services, resources, energy or defence.
• Proven success leading complex tenders, commercial negotiations, contract management and pricing strategies for major projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading a marketing function, including brand strategy, campaign development, digital marketing and content production.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience protecting margins, managing contractual risk and delivering profitable growth.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities, develop growth strategies and execute business plans.
• Experience building and managing sales pipelines, CRM systems and commercial and marketing reporting to drive business performance.
• Demonstrated leadership experience developing high-performing Business Development and Marketing teams.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence clients and senior leaders.
