The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Social Work to join our School of Social Work at IHM's Melbourne CBD campus. This is a full-time, on-campus role where you will play a central part in shaping the academic experience of Bachelor of Social Work students — inspiring, mentoring, and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make a real difference in their communities.

What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and tutorials to Bachelor of Social Work students
• Develop and prepare comprehensive teaching materials for both on-campus and online learning environments
• Facilitate interactive, inclusive, and student-centred learning experiences
• Monitor and support students' academic progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
• Contribute to curriculum design, course review, and ongoing educational innovation
• Participate actively in scholarly activities, professional development, and the broader IHM academic community

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Social Work (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in teaching Social Work or a related discipline in higher education
• Proven ability to develop and deliver educational materials for both on-campus and online learning environments
• Strong skills in curriculum design, educational planning, and innovative teaching methodologies
• Proficiency with digital learning platforms and educational technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and engage students effectively
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and contribution to social work education scholarship
• Current eligibility to work in Australia and willingness to work on-site in Melbourne, VIC
