About the Role

Tenure: Permanent / full-time; Fixed Term / full-time

The Strategy, Performance and International Engagement Group shapes and aligns strategy, policy, planning, evaluation and communication across the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification to ensure effective delivery, resource utility and a continued focus on Government’s priorities. The Group also leads the Government’s investment, trade and international engagement agenda.

The Principal Trade Promotion Officer supports the effective operation of Invest and Trade WA through the management and delivery of trade promotion projects, programs and initiatives that advance Western Australia's international trade objectives.

The role works closely with industry stakeholders, government agencies, international partners and the Invest and Trade WA Global Network to facilitate trade opportunities, strengthen international business connections and support Western Australian businesses to access and expand into global markets.

The position provides strategic advice, project leadership and stakeholder engagement to deliver outcomes that contribute to the State's economic growth and diversification agenda.
