Accounts Receivable and Billing Officer

Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable & Billing Officer to join our team!

This role is open to be based at any of the below locations:

• Port Botany NSW

• Martin Place (Sydney CBD) NSW

• Docklands VIC

This role will be responsible for processing client payments to ensure appropriate, accurate and timely allocation within the accounting system, and following up any outstanding customers accounts and leases closely with all internal departments on disputed invoices. This role also involves the accurate and timely invoicing of Company services. 

Key Accountabilities

• Accurate and timely recording of all cash receipts into the accounting system

• Ensure correct allocation of all receipts to customer accounts

• Preparation of reports as required

• Prepare and issue invoices in a timely and accurate manner

• Timely and accurate input of invoice data into accounting system (including interfaces) 

• Monitor interfaces for data upload and errors, investigate any errors accordingly.

• Reconciliation from source data to output data & investigation of any variances.

• Interact with Customers to ensure satisfactory resolution of Customer queries

• Prepare and reconcile daily banking to ensure maximization of cash flow

• Receipt of EFT storage payments & forward receipt to client

• Prepare debtor aging analysis & run fortnightly meetings with Management analysing debtors +30 +60 +90 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Accounting Certificate preferred

• Experience with high volumes receipting

• 5 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable/Billing role

• Experience with 1-Stop and Oracle Fusion preferred (advantageous)

• Considerable data entry experience required

• Strong computer skills including excel skills, finance and invoicing systems 

• Accuracy and reliability
