Support Worker

NDIS Support Worker Wanted – Nairne Area (SA)

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and easy-going Support Worker to provide social and community support for a male NDIS participant in his late 30s, based around Nairne, SA.

He is a high-functioning, independent adult who works full-time and enjoys getting out of the house, staying active and having a good time.

The role is mainly focused on social and community participation, which may include:

• Going to the gym together
• Attending concerts and live events
• Going to stand-up comedy shows
• Heading out for meals, activities and day trips
• Providing companionship and encouraging social participation

We’re looking for someone who is social, confident, reliable and genuinely enjoys getting out and doing things. Someone around a similar age or with similar interests would be a great fit.

Requirements:

• Must live within approximately 30 minutes of Nairne
• Valid ABN
• Full Australian Driver’s Licence
• Reliable vehicle
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Dependable and good communication skills

This would suit someone looking for enjoyable, flexible support work with a very easy-going participant.

The schedule will typically look like 2 sessions per week, 3-4 hours, meeting the client at the gym or at a social outing and then engaging with the participant and going home. Minimum pay rate is 3 hours, so if a shift is cut short we do still pay a 3 hour minimum.
