Fully Qualified Mechanic/Technician

About the role

HTP Automotive is looking for a skilled and reliable Fully Qualified Mechanic to join our growing team in Bayswater.

You’ll work across a range of vehicles, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and delivering high-quality workmanship that keeps our customers safe on the road.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical issues (engine, transmission, suspension, etc.)

• Carry out scheduled servicing including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations

• Perform vehicle inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems

• Accurately record work completed and parts used

• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to safety standards

• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, timelines, and costs

• Provide guidance and support to apprentice mechanics, helping develop their skills

What we’re looking for

• Trade-qualified Automotive Mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology)

• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Experience using modern diagnostic tools and equipment

• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude

• Current driver’s licence and own tools

• Full working rights in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident). We are

unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
