About the role
Kimberley College is an independent, co-educational and non-denominational Prep to Year 12 school located in a picturesque semi-rural setting in Logan City.
Kimberley College is seeking to appoint an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer / Business Manager to provide leadership across the College's finance and business operations. Reporting directly to the Principal and working closely with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team, this executive position plays a key role in supporting the College's long-term financial sustainability and strategic objectives. This role also serves in the capacity of Company Secretary for the Board.
The successful applicant will lead the College's financial management, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, risk management, facilities and operational functions while providing trusted advice to the Principal and Board. The role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the future growth and development of a thriving independent school community.
A collaborative and relational approach will be complemented by strong commercial acumen, excellent leadership skills and the ability to translate financial information into sound strategic decision-making.
Key Skills and Personal Attributes to be Successful in this Role
· Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
· CPA or CA qualifications, or progress towards such qualifications, would be highly regarded.
· Demonstrated senior leadership experience in finance, business management or operational leadership.
· Strong financial management, budgeting and forecasting expertise.
· Experience in governance, risk management and compliance.
. Experience with significant capital works projects.
· Highly developed strategic thinking and analytical skills.
· Ability to build productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
· Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to balance strategic planning with operational effectiveness.
· High levels of personal and professional integrity.
· Experience within an education or not-for-profit environment would be highly regarded.
