IT Support Junior Engineer

About the role

SUNTON TECH PTY LTD is seeking an IT Support Junior Engineer to join our growing technical support team in Sydney. This is a full-time position based in Sydney NSW 2000. As an IT Support Junior Engineer, you will be a crucial part of our help desk operations, providing essential technical support to our internal teams and external clients. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our users receive timely, professional and effective solutions to their IT-related issues, helping to maintain productivity across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt and efficient technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for Level 1 inquiries.

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems for Level 2 escalations.

• Assist with user account management, password resets, and access rights.

• Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system.

• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure timely and effective problem resolution.

• Maintain and update the knowledge base for common issues and solutions.

What we're looking for

• A minimum of two years' relevant experience in an IT support or help desk function

• Sound working knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS and the Microsoft 365 Suite (Office, Outlook)

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, underpinned by a patient and service-oriented approach

• Exceptional organisational skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin would be considered an advantage

• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work independently within a fast-paced environment

• A high level of discretion, integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information
