About Us
Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (NT), (MIFANT), is a leading non-profit organisation providing services for children and young people at risk of developing a mental illness and people living with a mental illness and their carers and families.
MIFANT is the NT representative of the nationally recognised organisation: Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia and have been providing services in the NT for over 30 years.
The Role
Based in Alice Springs or Tennant Creek, the Case Coordinator role provides case management and support for children and young people who are at risk of developing mental health issues. This program is provided holistically to include family and community wrap around supports.

Key Responsibilities
Provide case management to children and young people at risk of developing a mental health issue.
Organise services and activities including training and education to children, adults and families.
Develop and participate in community development projects and programs.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements for success
Diploma or above in mental health or social/behavioural sciences field or equivalent of 3 years experience in the sector.
Sound understanding of case management practices.
Demonstrated experience in working in a team to achieve program aims and outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in working in support settings with indigenous populations.
Sound understanding of the range of issues faced by vulnerable children, young people, families and carers.
Working knowledge or lived experience of issues faced by families affected by mental illness.
Sound understanding of early intervention models of service provision.
A current police check and working with children/ochre card (or ability to get one)
Current drivers licence
Right to live and work in Australia
