An exciting opportunity exists for an accomplished and forward-thinking professional to join St George Hospital as Head of Department, Physiotherapy. As a key member of the high-performing Allied Health Leadership Team, you will provide strategic and operational direction for a large and diverse physiotherapy service, driving excellence in patient care, workforce development, innovation, research and service improvement. Leading a department of more than 60 physiotherapists and support staff, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on patients, staff and the future of physiotherapy services.

St George Hospital is undergoing a major redevelopment, including the recently opened Kensington Street Building (KSB). Home to a range of inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory services, the KSB features a purpose-built Allied Health hub with abundant natural light, district views, modern meeting facilities and a dedicated outpatient floor, providing an exceptional environment for staff, patients and carers.
Beyond leading the St George Hospital Physiotherapy Department, this role is an active member of the SESLHD Physiotherapy Leadership Team. It offers the opportunity to work with colleagues across the district to influence the direction of physiotherapy services, share innovation and help deliver district-wide priorities in clinical excellence, workforce development and service improvement.
