Marketing Assistant

Yarra Valley | 2 Days Per Week | Ideal for a Uni Student or Recent Graduate

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Marketing Assistant to join our small marketing team in the Yarra Valley.

This is an entry-level, hands-on role ideally suited to someone in their final year of university or a recent graduate looking to gain practical marketing experience while working alongside an experienced team.

You’ll support the marketing team with the day-to-day tasks that keep our campaigns, stores, website and marketing activity running smoothly.

It’s a varied role with exposure to lots of different areas of marketing — a great opportunity to learn, build your skills and get some genuine experience on your CV.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Updating products, collections and content within Shopify

• Assisting with updates and maintenance of our customer database and loyalty program

• Liaising with store teams to gather signage and promotional requirements

• Ordering signage, point-of-sale and promotional materials

• Updating and maintaining the marketing and promotional calendar

• Assisting with social media content and scheduling

• Helping prepare content and materials using Canva

• Assisting with the organisation and running of photo shoots

• Providing administrative support for marketing campaigns and promotions

• Assisting with project coordination, timelines and follow-ups

• Preparing and updating spreadsheets, documents and presentations

• General marketing administration

• Helping the marketing team with other day-to-day tasks as required

You don't need years of experience. We're looking for someone at the beginning of their career who is bright, organised, reliable and keen to learn.

You'll ideally:

• Have a positive can-do attitude

• Be comfortable working independently once you've been shown what to do

• Have excellent attention to detail

• Be a good written and verbal communicator

• Be organised and able to manage your time and priorities

• Be confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Be comfortable using Canva

• Be confident with digital platforms and willing to learn new systems

• Be interested in social media, eCommerce and marketing

• Be happy to pitch in and help wherever needed

Experience with Shopify, Canva or CRM/loyalty platforms would be an advantage, but isn't essential. We're happy to teach the right person.

You may be studying marketing, communications, business or a related degree, have recently graduated, or simply be looking for your first opportunity to build practical marketing experience.

And if you have an interest in horses and the equestrian industry, even better.

We're a small marketing team, which means you'll get exposure to much more than you might in a traditional entry-level role.

You'll have the opportunity to learn about retail marketing, eCommerce, social media, customer loyalty, campaigns, content creation and photo shoots, while working alongside people who can help develop your skills.

It's a role where you'll be encouraged to learn, ask questions, get involved and gradually take on more as your experience grows.

And there aren't many opportunities where you can combine an interest in the equestrian world with the beginning of your professional marketing career.
