About the role

We're looking for a Kitchen In Charge to lead our kitchen and work closely with ownership on the day-to-day running of the store. This is not a traditional Chef role — our menu is relatively simple and our team is small (4–5 people per day working at the cafe), so we need someone who can take ownership of the kitchen while also staying closely connected to the front-of-house and overall store flow. We are looking for someone who loves brunch culture and is willing to develop the menus and expand the kitchen together.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations and food quality

• Develop and review menu items with ownership

• Manage stock levels and place orders as needed

• Work closely with the owner on day-to-day decisions

• Help manage overall workflow across the store, not just the kitchen

• Lead and support a small kitchen team

About you

• Solid kitchen experience, ideally in a supervisory or lead role for small team

• Comfortable working in a small, close-knit team

• Good organisational and time-management skills

• Someone who enjoys being hands-on and involved beyond just cooking

• Strong communication — this role works closely with ownership
