About Syntropic Labs (Antler AUS16)Syntropic Labs is building technology that helps people remain independent for longer as they age.The aging population is growing year on year, and there won't be enough caregivers to take care of everyone. Family members are already doing half of the caregiving jobs.
Our first product is an AI-powered wearable that could take the form of glasses, a pendant, or a clip-on. It is designed for people living with mild cognitive impairment or early-stage dementia.They are designed to understand the person, their behaviour, and their surroundings, helping them remember where they placed belongings, whether they completed important actions, and when something unusual or potentially unsafe is happening.
That's just the wedge. The Vision is much bigger.
The RoleI am looking for a technical co-founder who wants to build this company alongside me and take full ownership of its technical direction.
This is not a CTO role for someone who only wants to manage an engineering team. At this stage, you will be the person building the core technology: turning an ambitious idea into prototypes, testing them with real users, and developing them into a reliable product.
You will shape what we build, how we build it, and the company's technical foundations.

I’m looking for someone who:Is deeply technical and wants to spend the early days building.Has strong experience in AI, machine learning, or computer vision. Experience with edge AI, wearables, or hardware is a bonus.
I care less about degrees or a perfect résumé and more about whether you can build, learn quickly, and commit to the company.

The DetailsLocation: Australia for now, but we are building a global company, and relocation is on the table.Compensation: There will be no salary until we raise funding. For the right person, I am considering an equal equity split.Start date: ASAP
