Engineering Trades Australia (ETA) is currently seeking
experienced Electricians with strong heavy industrial, brownfields construction and telecommunications/testing experience for a project at the
Alcoa Portland Aluminium Smelter in Portland, Victoria.
This is an initial
short term project, with the client holding a
3-year contract, providing strong potential for ongoing work for the right candidates.

Roster: 9-day fortnight / 8-hour days, with an initial 38-hour week

Pay Rate: $64.31 per hour + penalties + allowances
About the Role Working within a live heavy industrial environment, you will be involved in a range of brownfields construction and electrical installation activities, including:
- Pulling and installing CAT 6 cabling
- Installing media converters
- Rewiring conveyors
- Installing 6-foot screens
- Electrical testing and fault finding
- Telecommunications installation and testing
- General electrical installation and maintenance associated with the project
Requirements To be considered, you will need: - Current Victorian Electrical License
- Proven heavy industrial electrical experience
- Previous brownfields construction experience
- Telecommunications/data cabling experience
- Strong electrical testing and fault-finding skills

EWP High Risk Work License - desirable

Working at Heights - desirable

Confined Space & Gas Test - desirable
- LVR CPR
- Ability to work safely within a live industrial environment
- Must be clean shaven to comply with face-fit respiratory protection requirements
