Field Service Technician – Air Compressors

About the role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of industrial compressed air equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems and dealing directly with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain, repair and inspect compressors and related compressed air equipment

• Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing

• Conduct functionality and operational testing

• Install compressors, refrigerated dryers and associated equipment

• Install and modify compressed air pipework

• Complete mechanical fitting and assembly work

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues

• Complete service documentation and reports accurately

• Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment condition and required works

About you

• Mechanical, fitting, plumbing, electrical or related trade experience

• A recognized trade qualification or strong hands-on mechanical experience

• Experience with compressors, compressed air equipment or industrial machinery is highly desirable

• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

• Good understanding of preventative maintenance

• Ability to read and understand technical information

• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• A current Australian driver's license

• Ability to travel to customer sites on a daily basis
