Opes is looking for experienced contractors to support the delivery of a complex project in Canberra. We are seeking professionals with demonstrated expertise, a strong delivery mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in secure, high-assurance environments.

About the role

As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll build and configure the network fabric underpinning a secure, high-assurance environment. Working to approved designs, you’ll stand up switching, routing, and segmentation to established security standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Racking, cabling, and commissioning network hardware to approved designs
• Configuring switching, routing, and network segmentation to design
• Applying firmware, patching, and lifecycle maintenance across the network estate
• Implementing and validating network security controls and segmentation boundaries
• Documenting configurations and working within established change control processes

What we’re looking for

• Hands-on build and configuration experience across enterprise network platforms
• Strong switching and routing fundamentals, including segmentation and VLAN design implementation
• Experience delivering network infrastructure in secure or regulated environments
• A disciplined approach to documentation and change control

Clearance

You must hold a current Australian Government security clearance at NV2 or above. Opes is not sponsoring new clearances for these positions. Only applicants who currently hold the required clearance will be considered.
