About the Role

We are seeking a smart, switched-on and compassionate NDIS Support Worker to provide practical, reliable and respectful support to a participant.

This is a role for someone who can combine quality person-centred support with strong administration, documentation and technology skills. You will need to be organised, proactive, trustworthy and confident using technology to keep accurate records and communicate information clearly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate, respectful and person-centred support.
• Assist the participant with attending medical and health-related appointments.
• Drive safely to and from appointments and provide appropriate support before, during and after appointments.
• Assist with organising appointments, schedules and reminders.
• Take clear and accurate notes during or following appointments, as appropriate.
• Document important information, instructions and follow-up requirements.
• Maintain accurate support records and case notes.
• Assist with administrative tasks, filing and organising information.
• Use computers, smartphones, email, calendars and relevant digital systems confidently.
• Communicate effectively with the participant and support team members.
• Follow support plans, organisational procedures and NDIS requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy at all times.
• Identify issues that may require follow-up and communicate them promptly.
• Be proactive rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done.

• Flexible and able to respond appropriately when circumstances change.
• Ideally experienced in disability, aged care, community services, healthcare administration or a similar support environment.

Essential Requirements:

Applicants must have:

• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Reliable access to a suitable, registered and insured vehicle.
• Ability to safely transport a participant to appointments.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness/eligibility to obtain one.
• Working with Children Check, where applicable to the role.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer and technology skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records.
• The right to work in Australia.
• Ability to provide appropriate employment and screening documentation.

Desirable:

• Previous NDIS/disability support experience.
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification.
• Experience supporting people with medical appointments or complex schedules.
• Experience with support coordination, healthcare administration or case documentation.
• Knowledge of NDIS practices and person-centred support.
• Experience using client management or case-note software.
