This is an exciting new role at the Windmill Hotel, combining wood-fired pizza and functions.

We’re looking for an experienced Chef who is comfortable working independently, is organised and self-motivated, and brings a friendly personality to the role. THE JOB

As our Pizza & Functions Chef, you’ll work across our wood-fired pizza offering and function catering, helping us deliver consistently great food and service.

Your responsibilities will include:

·         Preparing, topping and cooking pizzas in our wood-fired pizza oven

·         Preparing and delivering food for functions, events and group bookings

·         Completing preparation and service independently when required

·         Maintaining excellent food quality, consistency and presentation

·         Keeping your section organised, stocked and ready for service

·         Engaging with customers and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere

·         Maintaining high standards of personal presentation, cleanliness and hygiene

·         Following food safety and WHS requirements

·         Supporting the wider kitchen and venue team as required

ABOUT YOU

Previous pizza-making and functions experience highly preferred.

You will also:

·         Have previous experience working with a wood-fired pizza oven

·         Be confident working independently and managing your own workload

·         Be self-motivated, organised and reliable

·         Work calmly and efficiently during busy services

·         Have a friendly, confident and approachable personality

·         Be comfortable interacting directly with customers

·         Take pride in your personal presentation and uniform standards

·         Work well as part of a broader kitchen and venue team

As this is a customer-facing Chef role, great presentation, communication and personality are important parts of the position.

AVAILABILITY

To be considered for this role, you must be available to work:

·         Thursday nights

·         Friday nights

·         All day Saturday

·         All day Sunday

The position is available on a casual or part-time basis for approximately 30 hours per week.
