Sheetmetal & Light Fabrication - GYMPIE

About the Roles
Due to recently awarded contracts and a growing pipeline of work, we’re expanding our team and seeking Sheet Metal and Light Fabrication Trades people in Gympie. These are hands-on roles involving predominantly workshop-based work, with occasional site installations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Fabrication and welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components

• Polishing and blending of stainless steel and aluminium components (highly regarded)

• Ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule

• Interpreting technical drawings and job specifications

• Operating workshop equipment and hand tools while maintaining clean and safe working conditions

• Assisting with site installations as required

• Completing job documentation and contributing to quality control processes

• Supporting apprentices and contributing to a strong team environment

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualified in a relevant trade (Cert III Engineering – Fabrication, Light Fabrication, or Sheet Metal)

• Minimum of 3 year's experience in a similar role

• Previous Leading Hand experience would be highly regarded

• Experience in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding

• Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings

• Reliable, safety-conscious, and proactive attitude

• White Card, current driver’s licence, and Forklift Ticket (or willingness to obtain)

• Full working rights in Australia
