Registered Nurse

Are you a passionate Registered Nurse looking for flexibility? Join our supportive team in a casual or contract role, with opportunities available for 3-6 month assignments, working in our Wesley Hospital or St Andrew's Brisbane clinic. The role is largely Monday to Friday, so it offers a great work life balance. Once fully trained you will be required to take part in an on call and weekend roster.

What will you be doing? 

This role involves assisting our Radiologists and Technical staff with interventional procedures, and providing high quality pre, intra and post procedure nursing care to both outpatients and inpatients. There are development opportunities such as training in Cannulation and Advanced Life Support

Other duties include:

• Assisting with Interventional Radiology Cases such as Pain Management Injections, Biopsies, Drainages, Central Line Insertions, Angiograms, Embolisations and Stenting Procedures

• Scrub, Scout and Recovery responsibilities in our Angiography and Interventional Suite

• Pre and Post Procedural Preparation and Care

• Administering Conscious Sedation and Monitoring Vital Signs during procedures

• Care of hospital inpatients whilst in the department

• Stringent record keeping 
• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team

Desirable but not essential:

• Cannulation Skills

• Previous Experience in Radiology/Surgical/Procedural Nursing

• Anesthetic Experience
