Junior Developer

Role DescriptionThe Junior Developer is responsible for supporting the development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications under established development practices and technical standards. The role involves writing and modifying code, fixing software defects, performing testing and debugging, supporting system integration, and contributing to technical documentation. The Junior Developer works closely with senior developers, software engineers, testers, analysts, and other team members to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions. The role also provides opportunities to learn new technologies, improve coding practices, and contribute to continuous improvements in application quality and performance.QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Basic understanding of software development principles and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, or C++.Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and basic software design concepts.Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, and web development concepts is an advantage.Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.Basic understanding of software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and code review practices.Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.Ability to write clear, structured, and maintainable code.Good communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning.Ability to understand technical requirements, follow development standards, and work collaboratively with a development team.
