Squad in conjunction with our valued Host Employer are seeking a passionate individual to join their team as a Entry Level Mechanical Draftsman Traineeship 

This is an entry level position for someone wanting to commence their career in the industry.

If you hold a higher degree within the drafting industry, you will not be eligible for a traineeship.

• You will complete a Certificate IV Drafting traineeship at TAFE

The Role  

This role comes with a plenty of variety and the chance to get highly sought after experience. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;  

• Assist in creating 2D and 3D CAD drawings

• Assist technical department and draftpersons with design tasks

• Interpret basic engineering sketches and mark ups

• Follow company procedures

• Learn practical fabrication

What are we looking for? 

Our ideal candidate will have the following; 

• Interest in mechanical parts

• Basic understanding of technical drawings and CAD software

• Attention to detail and willing to learn

• Interest in fabrication and mechanical systems

Locations: South East Melbourne
Contracted Hours: 38hrs

Salary Range:  $471 - $869 per week

Commencement Date: ASAP
