Lesday Hotel Group is seeking an experienced Chef / Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at our establishment in Botany, NSW. This can be a full-time position or a casual position that offers a fantastic opportunity to shine in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Whether you're looking to step into a Chef de Partie role or advance your career as a chef, this position will challenge you to deliver high-quality food whilst contributing to the overall success of our food and beverage operations.
What you'll be doing
Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality across all meals
Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation guidelines to maintain food quality and consistency
Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with health regulations and company policies
Contributing to menu planning and development, suggesting creative dishes that align with our pub culture
Maintaining equipment and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently during service
What we're looking for
Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional training in professional cookery
Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in a professional kitchen environment
Proficiency in food preparation techniques, knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods
Strong understanding of food health and safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work under pressure during peak service times
Ability to follow instructions and cook steaks to perfection
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a kitchen team
Passion for food quality and continuous improvement in culinary practices
Physical capability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
