Never Sit Still (NSS) is a Sydney-based design-led animation studio creating bold, beautiful, and strategically impactful motion branding for some of the world's biggest brands. We're a close-knit team who value great ideas, collaboration, and craft - and we're looking for a Senior Motion Designer to join us.

The Role

As Senior Motion Designer, you'll lead the creative execution of animation and design projects, bringing originality, polish, and conceptual thinking to everything you touch. You'll be hands-on across 2D and/or 3D, guiding smaller projects independently, and contributing to larger projects with the Creative Director and Creative Leads. You'll also mentor junior creatives, embedding new techniques and elevating the standard of work across the studio.

What You'll Do

• Deliver world-class motion design and animation across diverse projects.

• Lead a range of projects end-to-end, owning creative direction and delivery.

• Contribute to larger team-wide projects with senior creatives and producers.

• Experiment with new techniques and share knowledge to uplift the team.

• Mentor junior team members, offering guidance and feedback.

• Present confidently to clients, building trust and rapport.

What We're Looking For

• Advanced skills in 2D animation and motion graphics.

• Preference for skills in Cel and Cavalry.

• Optional skills in 3D (ideally Cinema 4D/Redshift/Houdini).

• Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)

• Proficiency in Figma.

• Conceptual thinker with the ability to create original, trend-setting work.

• Great collaborator, communicator, and problem solver.

• Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.

• A minimum of 5 years of motion design and animation experience is required.
