Occupational Therapist – Expression of Interest

As an Occupational Therapist in Wangara, Western Australia, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve independence and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on client goals.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance clients’ daily living skills.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate clients and their families about treatment options and strategies.
• Monitor and document clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
• Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions.

Most of your work will involve adult NDIS participants located either South or North of the river.

About You:

• You’re a qualified Occupational Therapist with AHPRA registration (or eligible).

• Experience with equipment handling and psychosocial conditions is a plus but not required.
