SmartWatch is the City of Rockingham’s vehicle security and community safety patrol service. The position requires a highly motivated and experienced individual, who has the ability to build, foster, and network relationships with law enforcement agencies, whilst having a strong passion for customer service.

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring a high visibility vehicle patrol presence to reduce risk and ensure safety to the Rockingham community. Officers are required to report on suspicious behaviour and advise relevant authorities accordingly.

This role involves lone working and being unsupervised for a large majority of your shift, and requires Officers to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail at all times. The ability to remain focussed when working independently and vigilant throughout the entirety of your shift is imperative.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

1. Previous experience in Security related work and a Security Officers licence issued under the Security and Related Activities (Control) Act 1996 (WA)
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage constructively with community members and provide community safety information
3. Effective written communication skills, including the ability to produce accurate, concise and clear reports
4. Sound judgment and decision making skills
5. Current Provide First Aid Certificate
6. Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence

We are offering a gross salary of $77,854 per annum and:

• 12% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%
