About the role
Forever Learning Kindergarten & Childcare is seeking an experienced, passionate and confident Lead Team Member (Diploma Qualified) to lead our Infant Room (8 weeks – 1 year old children).
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong early childhood professional who is passionate about infant development, responsive caregiving, relationship-based practice and creating calm, nurturing environments for our youngest learners.
We are looking for someone who can confidently lead a room, mentor other team members and build strong, trusting relationships with children and families.
About the RoleAs the Infant Room Leader, you will:
Lead the daily operations of our nursery room for children aged 8 weeks – 1 year
Create a calm, nurturing and responsive environment that supports attachment and emotional wellbeing
Design and implement meaningful learning experiences aligned with EYLF V2.0
Guide and mentor Certificate III and Diploma teaching team members
Build strong partnerships with families through open and respectful communication
Maintain compliance with the NQF, NQS, Child Safe Standards and service policies
Support children’s routines including sleep, feeding, nappy care and transitions with consistency and sensitivity
Contribute to reflective practice, programming and quality improvement
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher ACECQA approved qualification)
Minimum 2 years’ experience leading an Infant Room (8 weeks – 1 year old children)
Strong understanding of infant development, attachment theory and responsive caregiving practices
Current Working with Children Check
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis qualifications
Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and Child Safe Standards
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
