Handyman/Service Field Technician

About the role

NicheWorks Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Handyman/Builder/Service Field Technician to join our team in QLD. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for providing efficient and reliable maintenance and handyperson services to our valued customers. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our clients' properties.

What you'll be doing

• Perform a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks, including handyman work ranging but not limited to carpentry, tiling, floor repairs minor plastering and painting

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions in a timely manner

• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service

• Maintain detailed records of work completed and order materials as required

• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment

• Collaborate with the broader team to identify opportunities for process improvements

• Be able to use software programs for updating works and signing in and out of site

What we're looking for

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a handyman or in a similar field service role

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Proficient in a range of maintenance and repair techniques

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to learn new skills and stay up-to-date with industry best practices

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
