About the Role
Fitzroy River Water is seeking an experienced Plant Operator/Labourer to support the construction, maintenance, and operational activities essential to delivering reliable water and sewerage services to our community.
If you hold current competency in Skid Steer, Excavator, and Backhoe operation, we'd love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to maintaining critical infrastructure across the region.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What you’ll do
Operate trucks and plant such as excavators, backhoes and skid steersCarry out civil construction tasks including pipe laying and basic concretingMaintain and repair water and sewer infrastructure, including hydrants, valves and mainsPerform basic servicing of equipment and report defects or safety issuesWork safely using hand tools while supporting a multi-skilled team
What we are looking for
Strong labouring backgroundMR Licence and ability to legally operate an excavator, backhoe and skid steerSafety focused and the ability to identify hazards and risks on the worksite
