About Us: Join our dynamic team at a locally owned, small but thriving clinic. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional healthcare services to our community and we're looking for an enthusiastic medical receptionist / occupational health technician to become a valued part of our team.

Prior experience highly regarded, however not necessary. 

Position Details:

• Job Title:  Medical Receptionist / Occupational Health Technician (Permanent)

• Employment Type: Full Time (38 hours/week)
  
   

Key Responsibilities: As a receptionist / technician you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and checking in patients in a warm and welcoming manner

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records while respecting confidentiality

• Accurately completing and checking paperwork with attention to detail

• Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently

• Managing billing and payment processes

• Recording clinical measurements for doctors' oversight such as height, weight, hearing, urine and lung function testing (training provided). 

• Assisting with general administrative duties in both GP & Occupational Health to support the clinic's operations
   

Essential Qualifications and Skills: We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Excellent time management skills 

• An enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn

• Strong teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently

• Friendly, compassionate, and caring nature

• Honest and reliable

• Exceptional work ethic with a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient computer and literacy skills

• Previous administration or technician experience, preferably in a medical setting highly regarded 

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  
   

Desirable Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications and experience would be a plus:

• Experience with Best Practice Software is an advantage

• Previous experience in a GP or Occupational Health Clinic desirable but not essential

• Certificate in Spirometry issued by Training Provider accredited/registered with RSHQ
