Pay Rate: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour

Role Overview:As a Butcher, you will play a crucial role in our production process. Your duties will include:Cutting and preparation of various meat cuts to produce premium quality smallgoods and cooked meats.Boning - Removing bones from pork legs, lamb legs & beef as required ensuring waste minimizationLoading and unloading of vacuum tumblers.Forming and preparation of various pork, beef, lamb and chicken products for the cooking process.Washing down of all equipment each day in keeping with GMP and quality system requirements.General assistance with all reasonable duties within the business if required.
Requirements:Minimum 2 years' experience as a butcher or in meat processingExperience with smallgoods production and meat preparation techniquesKnowledge of different cuts of beef, pork, lamb and chickenStrong attention to detailAbility to perform physical tasks and handle various production equipmentReliable and punctual with a strong work ethicGenuine interest in the role and willingness to work as part of a team
Work Eligibility:Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents (no sponsorships)Butchery or meat processing experience (retail or wholesale)Certificate III in Meat Processing (preferred but not essential)Strong knife skills & pride in your craftFit, reliable, and capable of working in chilled environmentsAbility to pass pre-employment medical and background checksDO NOT APPLY if you are not currently living in Australia.
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 25kg regularlyComfortable standing for extended periodsManual dexterity for precise cutting and handling of equipment
Technical Skills:Proficient knife skills and knowledge of butchery techniquesUnderstanding of HACCP and GMP food safety standardsExperience operating vacuum tumblers and commercial food processing equipment
