About the Opportunity
The Warehouse Storeperson is responsible for efficiently and safely picking, packing, and placing delivery orders, maintaining stock locations, completing quality checks, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with stock take. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and adherence to procedures, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Follow the related work instructions, to correctly pick, pack and place delivery orders in the safest and most efficient mannerLiaise with Customer Service regarding any incomplete or outstanding customer orders and delivery requirementsEnsure that finished goods are packaged to an acceptable standard, are within warehouse shelf life limit, and are appropriately stacked within the finished goods area with correct labelsLoading and unloading of trucks including the ability to manage and monitor the flow of all materialsCompile all necessary documentation during the day in readiness for the following dayEnsure daily safety checks are completed on forkliftsMaintain a polite phone manner with customers/transport companies and internal/external stakeholdersDemonstrate patience, empathy, and courtesy towards work colleagues and customersBe self-motivated with the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment as well as operate independently when requiredCorrectly complete administration tasks/duties within required timeframeWork collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operation of warehouse activities.

You're someone who enjoys working as part of a team while being able to work independently when required.
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, with knowledge of basic goods receiving, order compilation and dispatch proceduresPossession of a forklift ticketExperience in a manufacturing environment advantageousCapacity to work effectively in a small team environment, meet deadlines and to follow tasks through to completionBasic organisational skills and attention to detailPhysical capacity to undertake manual handlingNumeracy and literary skillsBasic computer skills.
