TRUCK TECH is looking for an experienced Leading Hand to join our Chipping Norton workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows heavy vehicles, backs their team and takes pride in getting the job done properly.

You’ll work alongside the crew while helping keep the workshop moving — supporting technicians, coordinating jobs, solving problems, maintaining quality and making sure our customers get the service they expect.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading and supporting technicians on the workshop floor

• Coordinating workflow and helping keep jobs on schedule

• Providing technical guidance and jumping on the tools when needed

• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and productivity

• Troubleshooting complex faults and helping the team find solutions

• Communicating with workshop management around job progress and priorities

• Helping develop apprentices and technicians

• Setting the standard for attitude, accountability and teamwork

What we’re looking for

• Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic

• Strong heavy vehicle diagnostic and repair experience

• Previous Leading Hand, senior technician or supervisory experience preferred

• Someone who can lead people without needing to throw their weight around

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• A genuine commitment to safety and quality

• Someone who takes ownership and follows through
