Groups Meetings & Events Manager

The Groups Meetings & Events Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales activity in order to maximise rooms, groups, conference and events revenue through pro-active selling and conversion of customer enquiries into confirmed sales.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

• Experience of managing a team

• Ability to motivate a team

• Ability to develop team

• Able to collect and analyse relevant information and provide solutions.

• Previous Conferencing & Events Sales experience

• Demonstrated attention to detail, while multi-tasking and delivering work on time

• Ability to work productively despite multiple interruptions

What will I be doing?

• The management of the team on a daily basis

• Up skilling of Conferencing & Events team

• Manage the relationship and business processes between C&E Sales & C&E Operations

• Manage departmental productivity

• Recruitment, training and development of the team

• Regularly review and manage individual and team performance against objectives and provide feedback

• Provide relevant coaching to the team

• Developing and implementing individual team members and both department training plans to meet business needs
